Description

The AQUA-L7 is the most versatile indoor and outdoor acoustic pipe leak detector we offer. The AQUA-L7 has the necessary sensors to detect a burst in most scenarios. This kit includes four special ceramic sensors, a wall sensor, an indoor floor sensor, an outdoor floor sensor & steel probe, and a larger outdoor floor sensor—each unique in its ability to find a leak in different environments. Leak sounds picked up by the ceramic sensors are simultaneously displayed on the screen whilst emitting sound to the noise-cancelling headphones.

Product Principle
Our range of AQUA-L multi-sensor acoustic leak detectors capture leak sounds through special ceramic crystal sensors, making them considerably more durable than their counterparts. Sounds are also processed by the display screen and shown as visual signal bars. The leak sound is simultaneously transmitted to the noise-cancelling headphones. This method is the most efficient and effective technique for locating a burst pipe acoustically. Therefore completely avoiding the need to dig any unnecessary holes to find the leak.

The closer the sensor is to the leak, the greater the leak sound will be. Each visual signal bar will also adjust in height accordingly. (Visual signal bars can also be saved for reference and comparison).

Принцип продукта

Which AQUA-L model should I choose?

Choose according to the environments in which you detect leaks. L1 is configured for indoor work, L2 for outdoor work, L5 combines indoor and standard outdoor sensors, L6 adds the large outdoor sensor for more demanding outdoor environments, and L7 provides the complete L-Series sensor configuration.

Can the AQUA-L detect leaks indoors and outdoors?

Yes, depending on the model and sensors included. The L-Series includes dedicated sensors for walls, indoor floors and outdoor environments. Refer to the "Find your AQUA-L" section above for the sensor configuration of each model.

What is the difference between General Detection and Locating mode?

General Detection is used when assessing an area and identifying suspected leak zones. Locating mode allows signal values from multiple measurement points to be captured and compared to help narrow down the strongest leak-noise location.

How does the AQUA-L identify a leak?

The sensor captures leak noise generated by a pressurised pipeline. The AQUA-L processes the signal and presents it as a visual spectrum while simultaneously transmitting the sound through the noise-cancelling headphones. As the sensor moves closer to the leak, the audible and visual indication can become stronger.

How deep can the AQUA-L detect?

The AQUA-L manual specifies detection up to 5 metres when using the Medium Outdoor or Large Outdoor sensor. Actual detection performance depends on factors including pipe material, leak characteristics, ground and surface conditions, background noise and sensor coupling.

Can I use the AQUA-L on different pipe materials?

Yes. For outdoor detection, the AQUA-L interface allows the operator to select Plastic, Metal or Unknown pipe material according to the investigation environment.

Can I record leak sounds?

Yes. The AQUA-L includes on-site recording functionality so leak sounds can be recorded during an investigation for later reference.

How long does the battery last?

The AQUA-L provides up to 15 hours of working time, with an approximate charging time of 7 hours.
